No, we do not require a referral from your dentist for your first consultation. We do how ever encourage all our patients to see your general dentist before, during and after treatment for their regular check-ups and cleaning appointments.
If you previously have had dental x-rays (OPG and Lateral Ceph) in the last year, please obtain a copy and bring these to your first appointment. In preparation for your first appointment we also require you to fill out our practice questionnaire, you can do so by downloading it here.
Treatment can vary depending on the complexity or severity of each case. Average treatment times can be between 14-24months, your Orthodontist can advise you an estimated treatment length at your initial appointment.
No. However, there may be an initial period of adjustment.
It’s OK to continue playing sports during braces treatment. When the braces are fitted our practice will provide you with a complimentary custom made mouthguard for contact sports if required.
Removable appliances should be taken out for contact sports and swimming, and kept safe in an appropriate protective box.
Yes, if you have Orthodontic treatment included in your type of cover.
We do not directly liaise with your health insurance; this is a private arrangement between you and your insurer and you will need to check your eligibility and entitlements.
