Dealing With Emergencies

Very few Orthodontic problems require immediate attention. Breakages can be managed at your next appointment. If you are in discomfort, please call our practice to arrange an appointment time.

My brace/wire is broken
Sometimes during your orthodontic treatment you may have a wire that is too long, this is normally due to your teeth moving. We recommend you use the wax provided to protect your cheeks or gums from the wire.

Module/brace/wire is loose
This can be managed at your next appointment, if causing any discomfort please contact our practice.

Lost retainers
You will need to come into the practice for a new impression to be taken. Please contact our practice to arrange an appointment as soon as possible.
